Obama Picks Against the Pac-10
From this picture (click it to enlarge):
You can see that President Obama has picked the following things:
UCLA loses to VCU
Arizona State loses to Temple
and if you look closely under the other guys arm, you can see "ryl", so he also has:
Cal loses to Maryland
Furthermore, you can see that he has a team with "ue" (Purdue) playing UConn in the sweet sixteen, so he either has:
UW loses to Purdue or
UW loses to Mississippi State.
Also he has Wake in the sweet sixteen, so:
Arizona loses to Utah or
Arizona loses to Wake
Also in the sweet sixteen is Michigan State, so:
USC loses to Boston College or
USC loses to Michigan State
Now of course, all of this is hogwash and meaningless, as Barack Obama has no pull over the events that will transpire in the coming weekend, nor even is there reason to believe that he's a better picker than you or I. But seriously ZERO Pac-10 teams are going to make it to sweet sixteen? Does he even have a single Pac-10 team winning a game? Come on, Barry.

His bracket has now officially been released

And the only Pac-10 team he has winning a single game is UW. Call me crazy, but I think that the Pac-10’s going to do a little better than 1-6.

Andy Katz influence
I was told Andy Katz was present when the president made his picks. It is me, or does the other man in the picture appear to be Katz?
Andy Katz doesn’t like the Pac 10. This example of a so-called East Coast supremacy should push the entire Pac 10 in winning some games in this tournament. I’m rooting for all the teams in the Pac 10, along with Portland State and Utah State. And I might be able to find it in my heart to root for the zags too.
All I saw was purple
I'm not saying he does
But what I am referring to is that their is a perceived notion out there that the West Coast is an after-thought. We had 6 teams from the Pac 10 get an invitation to this tournament. The majority of our league was invited, but seldom doe our league get respect. Look at the AP poll, it is litered with overhyped programs. Memphis? I’m going to come out and say it, Memphis is going down! Not in the first or second rounds (possibly), but I see them out before reaching the elite 8. No question.
Nobody is giving us a shot. ESPN radio hasn’t even mentioned Washington all week long. Oh they keep bringing up the flavor of the week upsets as in Maryland over Arizona State and VCU over Ucla. Notice that most of the talk when it comes to upsets, the Pac 10 is on the losing side of the upset?
Still no respect- we’ve got a lot to play for this weekend!
Go Huskies! WOOF!!!
All I saw was purple
Especially when...
…Washington IS THE PAC-10 CHAMPION. I’m telling you guys if ucla or arizona was at the top of our conference the conference would get more respect nationally. It’s not different than if the beavers had won the Pac-10 in football. Don’t you think the east coast would have downgraded the Pac-10 even MORE than it already does?

So who cares who the President picks to win.
He is no more an expert on basketball than you or I, or for that matter us on world politics or the economy. What is nice is at least he knows there is a tournament and he is in. Just hope he didn’t do it on government property or time since others who work for the feds are bring officially discouraged to participate in pools.
Coach K's Remarks?
Has anyone heard what Coach K had to say about the president’s wisdom when it came to his bracket? By the way president Obama picked North Carolina over picking Duke.
All I saw was purple
It's not a big deal to me.
I just think it’s cool he filled out a bracket and he’s so into basketball. I could care less if he picked against the Pac-10. Though I will say that VCU over fUCLA is bizarre.
