Conference: Big West

Record: 4-3

Pomeroy Rankings: 192nd Overall, 175th Offense, 203rd Defense

Best Win: 76-69 vs. Coastal Carolina

Coach: Bobby Braswell, 209-184, 14th season

Key Players:

Kenny Daniels: 6-4 Senior Forward: 19.7 PPG, 119.2 ORating, 4.4 RPG, 2 APG

Willie Galick: 6-8 Senior Forward: 11.1 PPG, 5.9 RPG

Scouting Cal State Northridge:

CSN is pretty middle of the road as mid majors go. They don't blow you away in any one category and have struggled against more talented teams (Purdue, TCU). Their poison pills are that they turn the ball over a lot and don't keep teams off of the offensive glass. The Matadors play some zone defense, and are one of the fastest teams in the nation.

How to Beat Them:

The Huskies just need to play sound basketball and there should be no problem. Run the offense through Isaiah Thomas and Quincy Pondexter and there shouldn't be too much trouble, even against a zone. With Elston Turner looking like he's come alive he needs to get his looks as well, and against a zone he could do some real damage from long range.

Prediction:

This is a good type of game for UW coming off of an emotional loss to Texas Tech. Within the friendly confines of Hec Edmundson Pavillion, the Huskies should be able to run away with this one. Against a turnover prone team the Huskies will be able to get up and down the floor before the zone can be set up, and since CSN likes to run as well, the Huskies may well crack 3 digits.

Huskies win: 96-64

Vegas: UW -19

Viewing: 7:00 FSN, Bank of America Arena, Seattle WA

Turner getting the start again

I’m a fan of him starting. Gives the team added shooting and spreads the floor for Thomas and Pondexter

I'm liking what I see from Gaddy so far.

He’s finally being more assertive with the ball and it’s working for him.

Yeah it seems pretty likely

Only other candidate would probably be Randle, but he needed a ton of shots to get his numbers.
