It’ll be interesting to hear what Jake says about this. I have a feeling we all owe Hugh Millen some thanks, as I’d bet his article on the success rate of Jr. QB’s in the NFL vs. Sr. QB’s had an influence.

Millen

In my mind, Millen’s article laid it out in black and white facts as much as anyone could (and we all thank him for that). I bet every Dawg fan out there wanted to see Jake back.

Yeah agreed...

…very interesting reading. Broke it down into fact and statistics. Hugh Millen is a lot of fun to have on KJR, he gives you that inside look into what goes on schematically and more specifically from the QBs perspective.

Sark and Millen

Both deserve plenty of credit for “recruiting” Locker to stay one more year! The 2010 Huskies are looking pretty good, it’s time for a winning season and a bowl game!!!

GO DAWGS!!!

and in unrelated news

The Mariners are going to get Cliff Lee from the Phillies…living in Philly and seeing how upset the fans are here that they are losing him, I am EXTREMELY happy.

One of the best Seattle sports days in a LOOOOONG time.

You are my Hero Jake Locker!!! GO DAWGS!!!

Typical, this is so Jake

I thought that he would come back, but he left a lot of cash on the table. I also felt that Hugh Millen’s article explained Jake’s situation the best.

But the most “typical Jake” was no press conference. High school kids have milked their college decision more than this.

Welcome back Jake, even though I don’t think you seriously considered leaving. Hopefully this is a win win situation. We know the fans, coaches, and team will be better off; and a year from now a great and profitable NFL career will begin.

Press Conference

I take my hat off to Jake, he’s a rare individual, most anybody else would hold a press conference and toot their own horn. Shoot, Cody Habben held a press conference when he announced he was committing to the UW.

Awesome!

Now I don’t need a nasty sweater from Grandma to have a merry Christmas! Sweetness. Locker returns and Cliff Lee possibly moving to Seattle? Great day for Seattle sports!

WoooHoooo!

I wouldve understood if Locker decided going pro was in his family`s interest. But this is typical Locker taking one for the team. Dont blow it Sark, Turn Locker Loose in 2010!!

Ronnie Fouch

The poor guy will probably never hit the field again as a starter.

by Juneautom on Dec 14, 2009 2:41 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

nothing against fouch

but if he didn’t get on the field again, in any capacity, I wouldn’t complain one bit. It could only mean good things for us (another healthy year for Locker & him getting passed us by the younger QBs on the roster)

by Bamer_ on Dec 14, 2009 6:14 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

I think the best part of Jake coming back, other then more victories and a bowl game next season, is that Nick Montana will be able to watch Sark and Nuss’ QB system in action with a great QB speciman on the field. I think Montana watching Jake, could only make Nick a better QB, where he may be ready to take over as a redshirt freshman. It’ll probably be Montana and Price battling it out to see who takes over after Jake.

All I saw was purple

It would also be cool to find out that Jake is spending some time with Joe Montana picking his brain.
