Washington expects eight to twelve official visitors this weekend. As usual we won't know who exactly is coming until they get there. This late in the game it is hard to tell who the coaches are working on. Expect a surprise or two tomorrow.

Byron Moore
Byron Moore from Narbornne HS (Same as Tim Tucker and Josh Moten) decommitted from SC. Maybe we can get him to visit. Looks like he’s interested in LSU and Notre Dame but maybe Holt can reel him in
Note: Unplug the fog machine
Like I said we are going to get some good recruits this year. Sark has been pressing because of the late start, but I think we’ll land on our feet pretty good.
Every year USC coddles recruits up until the 11th hour. And good recruiters will step in and get them committed elsewhere. Sark and Holt know how Carroll caddles these guys and it was just a matter of time that it surfaced. SC can’t sign everyone, but they do want to keep their options open on many recruits and hold them up until the 11th hour.
Any kid who is on USC’s radar but is bypassed, we’ve got to get!
The weather looks pretty good
It’s going to be sunny for the second weekend in a row, not a bad way to start off the visits.

Linebackers
We will have a lot of upperclassmen linebackers this upcoming season however there is not alot of depth in the program. I have to believe with all of the safeties Sark is recuriting that there will be some position switches. Which of the current safties in the program do you think could put on a few pounds and make good outside linebackers? I think this Tucker prospect is a real must get. Maybe Kino can be like Cushing was at USC. Outside of EJ and Mason I just didn’t see anyone in the program that can excel on the outside. Could you give us your analysis on the linebacker position with the current listed linebackers and possible switches. Thanks
Very possible...
Strong safety to outside linebacker isn’t that far off with the right size. It should be interesting to see what happens.
Linebacker conversions
Johri Fogerson and Quinton Richardson are a couple of names thar come to mind that would make good outside linebackers if they were moved up from safety.
Linebackers
Alvin Logan? Victor? I’m to slow to be a safety Chipper?
John
How do people find out who is in town? This may be a dumb question but i notice that you mention that we have to wait and see who comes but who figures this stuff out? Does the athletic dept release the names or is it pure observations?
They find out by...
interviewing one of the kids they know is/was there and asking him who else attended.
Also...
I bet they’re all at the basketball game. The Dawgman/etc. guys will surely be scouring the recruit seating for faces they recognize.
We usually know by Saturday Night
All the recruits will be at the basketball game.
Fetters, Grinolds, and Ecklund will probably all be there and they will be able to figure it out.
Kids also text info or make calls so stuff does get out.

Hasiak and Vehikite
OT Stan Hasiak and LB Simione Vehikite from Hawaii are the surprise recruits who are visiting UW today.
Hasiak is committed to California and Vehikite is committed to USC. Hasiak really likes UW OC/OL Jim Michalizik so that is where the big connection is.
UW was in on Vehikite in December when he popped on the radar with great senior film. Ken Norton of USC immediately offered him and he accepted. Kind of surprised he is visiting but he liked UW until USC came on board.
Both players have offers from UW.
Great to hear!
Hasiak would be a huge grab! Hopefully he likes really good college basketball games…
