I believe oregon’s new 200 million dollar basketball stadium is funded by tax dollars. I think the state also kicked in for osu’s football stadium upgrade. That is where we’re at folks. We live in a state with more money and can’t even finance half of a “renovation”. This is still going to be Husky Stadium with a lot of what is there just being dressed up. I think the lower bowl will be completely replaced and I would have to think that the south side will be seriously worked over. I think that was added on to in like 1958.

It’s apparently OK for billionaire owners of professional sports teams to get palatial stadiums built for their teams but public universities who generate huge amounts of tax money get nothing. I don’t have a good feeling about this. Hence I want to know what the fall back plan is?
