Happy Birthday John

Sorry I missed you at the tailgate. The wife and I always leave the tailgate an hour before kick off.

I was shocked at the amount of empty seats at kick off.

I had hopes for a win until reality set in, in the 2nd half.

UCLA could be our first win

Don't get your hopes up!

I don’t want to be Debbie Downer, but I wouldn’t want to get to far ahead of ourselves. I want nothing more than to send Slick Rick back to LA with a loss to a horrible UW team, but I just don’t see it happening. We don’t know how to win. They have Norm Chow and Karl Dorrell, who will out coach us no matter how poor their talent.

Here’s hoping we can win the “Battle of the Bottom”, aka “The Toilet Bowl” aka “The Rotten Apple Cup”.

Dorrell?

I think you mean DeWayne Walker – Dorrell got fired last year, making way for Neuheisel.

Wow, that's my biggest slip up yet!

Ya, Walker, the guy we tried to steal, but we couldn’t pull that off either!

Bandwagon

I haven’t left the bandwagon, still watch every game, and go to as many as work allows, but that doesn’t mean I think they are going to win.

Missed your tron thing

Johnb, cant believe I missed a chance to finally meet you in person. With as few people that were there, I am surprised that somehow I didn’t stumble over you. That is the emptiest i have seen HS in a long long long time. The kids actually played with a little emotion until they came back out numb from the halftime speech. 4 field goals in red zone doesn’t hack it, despite ASU trying to give us the game. What was on the Tron,? I think once again we have a chance to win but really believe that RN will have his kids more inspired to play than us. DeWayne Walker is licking his chops for our offense (lack of). Only 3 more miserable weekends to go.

Tailgates

My plan was to get to Husky Stadium at noon so I could hit four different tailgate parties. I never hit a single one. If I had known what was going on I would have invited you guys to come on the boat. My wife did the best job she could inviting people from going through my email’s and cell phone. It was pretty amazing!
