Will Muschamp
Here is a link to an article on Will Muschamp. "The game Muschamp was hired to coach" this article gives you a pretty good look at what Will is all about.
I like Muschamp and you can't ignore the past relationship with Emmert and Woodward while at LSU. One thing I really measure a coach or anyone by is work ethic. You need someone that is going to work as hard as Carroll and Tedford. It sounds like Muschamp gets it.
The knock on him is he has never been a head coach, and he doesn't have many West Coast recruiting contacts.

Don James MUST be an idiot
…because he told KJR last night that it doesn’t make sense to fire the coach mid season.
"There’s more than half the season left, seven games left, and teams do get better if they stay healthy. You evaluate them after the season is over, is the way I look at it. Make your evaluation then. If you listen to the fans, it might feel good for them to make a change, but I don’t think that’s the answer.’’
Since 206Love and I have been ripped for arguing no real advantage to a mid-season firing (and, in fact, I have been called stupid), I thought I’d get a moment to gloat about the fact that DJ seems to agree and that he seemed to have a message for the Chicken Little fans. Of course, he doesn’t really know anything about Husky football.
Before I get flamed in response, do know that I’m just having a little fun here and I do understand that many of you are very emotional about the issue of whether or not we fire Ty now or later.

if that was the case ...
… and he actually believes that we should fire him mid-season, he would have said something more vanilla like “its a tough job and a coach should be evaluated on their entire body of work”. Instead, he was more specific first echoing the same thing that Ty already said about over half the season left to play and, then, taking a very specific shot at fans would “feel good” about Ty getting fired but that not being the answer.
It seems pretty clear to me that DJ is trying to calm down the hyper-reactive segment of Huskyville by arguing the point that he thinks is more sensible.

The Dawgfather
Don James has class. Do you really think he would come out and undermind Emmert and Woodward? Just imagine the up roar if the Dawgfather himself called for Willingham’s head! It would only tear Husky football further apart.
You have to look at the big picture, firing him mid season feels good, but really accomplishes very, very little. The PR nightmare that would come with it just isn’t worth it. As much as I would love to see Willingham packing his bags, I’ll be patient knowing full well its going to happen very soon.
